Managing Boards and Cards
SECURITY Security level with Can add/edit boards permissions
NAVIGATION > Admin > Features & Settings > Service Desk (Tickets) > Boards
For more general information about boards, refer to About Boards.
IMPORTANT If you do not see the > Admin > Features & Settings > Service Desk (Tickets) > Boards option, you will need to edit your security level to include Can add/edit boards permission. Refer to Board Permissions.
On this page, you can configure boards and the cards that appear on them.
How to . . .
- To open the page, use the path(s) in the Security and navigation section above.
- Select the Boards tab.
- Click New above the table to open a blank board configuration page, or copy an existing board by selecting Copy from the context menu. To edit an existing board, select Edit from the context menu.
- For information on setting up the board, refer to Adding and Editing Boards.
Select Activate or Inactivate from the context menu. Inactive boards are no longer available for selection as a board view or as a default board view for a widget. Inactive boards that were previously assigned as a default board for a widget will continue to appear in that widget until they are removed.
Select Delete from the context menu.
Click on the "handle" on the leftmost edge of the row to move the row up or down in the list of boards. Boards will appear in this order in selector lists.

- Select the Cards tab.
- Click New above the table to open a new card layout page, or copy an existing one by selecting Copy from the context menu. To edit an existing card layout, select Edit from the context menu. You can create up to 10 different card layouts.
- For information on configuring card layouts, refer to Adding and editing card layouts.
Select Activate or Inactivate from the context menu . Inactive card layouts are no longer available for selection in new or edit board pages, but ones that were previously assigned to boards will continue to function.
Select Set as default from the context menu to have the card layout be the default applied to newly created boards.
Select Delete from the context menu .
Click on the "handle" on the leftmost edge of the row to move the row up or down in the list of card layouts. Card layouts will appear in this order in the cards selector list.
