Adding and managing calendar items

The Calendar and the Dispatch Calendar display several types of calendar items, color coded for easy viewing. Holidays and time off are always displayed, so there's no need the schedule them.

The following calendar items can be scheduled on the Calendar and the Dispatch Calendar:
Appointment are time slots scheduled for non-company related activities such as meetings or personal appointments. Refer to Adding and managing appointments.
To-dos and notes are used to schedule and track non-billable company or sales activities in the CRM module. Only users with access to the CRM module can be assigned a to-do. Permission to add, edit, or delete to-dos is determined by the user's security level. Refer to Adding and managing to-dos and Creating or editing a custom security level.
A Service call is a time reservation on the Calendar or Dispatch Calendar for a specific customer. It can contain multiple tasks and/or tickets. Refer to Searching and managing service calls and Adding and editing service calls.
A Quick Call is not a separate type of calendar item. It's a page that allows you to create a ticket and schedule it into a service call at the same time. Refer to Adding a Quick Call.
