Mapping an Autotask organization to a different web connector

By default, all Autotask organizations are automatically mapped to the first web connector you have set up in Autotask (the default connector), and transferred to a single QuickBooks file. No action is required.

Some customers would like to have one instance of Autotask but transfer data to more than one QuickBooks data file.

The new QuickBooks integration allows you to do this in 2 steps:

  • You must configure additional web connectors and associate each with a different QuickBooks company file. The process is no different from setting up your first connector. Refer to Adding or editing a single or first web connector.
  • You must then assign individual organizations to one of the additional web connectors.

To assign an organization Your Autotask instance may be configured to use one of the following terms instead: Account, Business Unit, Client Company, Customer, Site. to a web connector other than the default:

  1. GTo open the page, use the path(s) in the Security and navigation section above.
  2. Click Map Another Organization. The Organization Mapping dialog box will appear.
  3. Start typing an organization name or click the selector icon to find an organization.
  4. Click the QuickBooks Web Connector drop-down menu and select a web connector other than the default. If you want an organization to use the default web connector, do not configure a mapping for that organization.
  5. Click Save.
