Navigate from an Autotask organization to an RMM site

Once the integration is enabled and Autotask organizations have been mapped to RMM sites in RMM, you can easily navigate from an Autotask organization Your Autotask instance may be configured to use one of the following terms instead: Account, Business Unit, Client Company, Customer, Site. to the linked site in RMM. Refer to Navigating from the Autotask organization to the RMM site.

Map discovered devices to a contact and contract

When Autotask is integrated with Datto RMM, Datto BCDR, or VSA X, devices Your Autotask instance may be configured to use one of the following terms instead: Asset, Configuration Item, Installed Asset, Installed Product. that are discovered by the RMM application appear in Autotask in real time. While RMM tracks technical data like memory and CPU, contract and billing information is only tracked in Autotask. On the Device Mapping page, you can assign a contact, billing contract, and for recurring service contracts, a service or bundle to the device, or set the device as Reviewed for Contract (which takes it off the mapping page).

View RMM alerts and devices on the Autotask dashboard

Two dashboard tabs are available to all users: RMM Alerts and RMM Devices.

  1. Click the + sign in the dashboard tab strip or click the dashboard icon and select Add New Tab.
  2. On the Add New Tab page, select Start with a copy of a system tab.
  3. Choose either RMM Alerts or RMM Devices.

On the Alerts tab, you will see widgets that display tickets that were generated from an alert, broken down by various metrics.

On the Devices tab, devices created from RMM devices are displayed.

NOTE  The widgets on the RMM tabs will only display data the user has permission to view.

Use RMM-specific attributes in Autotask workflow rules

There are a number of attributes available for use with RMM integrations. Refer to Workflow rule attributes, operators, and field types.

Use RMM tools in Autotask

Users for whom the Datto RMM Integration is enabled have access to a whole host of Datto RMM features right from Autotask. On both right-click and context menus, they will see a sub-menu called Datto RMM. It provides access to a number of RMM tools.
