News Feed

BEFORE YOU BEGIN  This feature may be hidden in your Autotask instance because it is not activated. If so, you can activate it on the > Admin > Admin Categories > Activations page. Refer to Activations.

Your Autotask news feed is a central source to keep current with your co-workers and get the latest company-wide news. The live feed will update with all the news posted by the company along with postings from co-workers and company Team Walls.

There is no need to access and keep track of company wide emails; no need to put together internal group mailing lists and no fear of being left out of the loop. Your news feed will keep you informed.

To view your News Feed, just click News Feed in the Home module. The number to the right of the link indicates how many new posts are waiting.

You decide what news to follow

The news feed draws from team and individual resource postings and you decide whose postings to include. You can choose to follow or stop following any resource or public team at any time. To follow a private team, you must be invited first.

You select co-workers and teams to follow from the Co-Workers and Team Walls pages. You access these pages in the Home module left navigation menu.

From the Co-Workers and Team Wall pages you can also go directly to any co-worker's or team's wall and view posts directly. Its a great way to check in on a co-worker you haven't been following, or to find out about a team that you might want to follow.

To learn more about team walls refer to Team walls and to learn more about following your co-workers, refer to Follow co-workers and teams.

Join the conversation

You can keep others updated with your latest information by posting items directly into the news feed or on your own wall. You can also post on another resource's wall and comment directly on another posting.

Every post you make shows in your news feed and the feed of any co-workers who are following you. If you post to a co-worker's wall, or comment on a co-worker's posting, your post will appear in the news feed of everyone following that co-worker. And if you decide a post doesn't quite say what you wanted, you can delete it.
