Managing a single project

Projects are managed from a persistent project menu on the left that allows you to navigate to the different project views. To open the page, use the path(s) in the Security and navigation section above.

When you open a project, the Summary page is displayed. Click a menu item to open another project page.

Page Description
Summary Provides an overview of high-level project information as well as the current status of the project. Refer to The Project Summary page.
Schedule On this page, you view and manage the project schedule. Refer to The Project Schedule page.
Team On this page, you manage and communicate with the internal and client project team. Refer to The Project Team page.
Charges & Expenses On this page, you view and manage the material items and expenses associated with the project. Refer to Viewing charge or expense details
Related Tickets On this page, you view and manage any tickets associated with the project. Refer to The Related Tickets page.
Notes Project notes are used to track information, update the status of the associated project and communicate with resources and customers. Refer to Adding or editing project or project phase notes.
Rates Refer to The Project Rates page.
Calendar View calendar items created for the project or add a calendar item. Refer to The Project Calendar page.
Attachments View and manage attachments to the project or project tasks. Refer to The Project Attachments page.
User-Defined Fields Allows you to populate the user-defined fields your Autotask administrator has set up for the Projects entity. If you have mapped opportunity UDFs to Project UDFs, you can copy the content of those fields to the project fields. Refer to Project user-defined fields.
Related Reports Displays a list of project schedule, financial and team reports. Some of them are described in Project reports.
