Performance Analytics workbooks
Your Autotask instance holds the history of your business. This history can provide useful insights into how to make your business better. Performance Analytic workbooks are a unique business intelligence solution that provides access to these insights through easy to read charts, graphs, and tables.
Why Performance Analytics workbooks?
Autotask provides numerous tools to access your data, including user dashboards that also present data in easy to read charts and graphs. But the dashboards primarily target operational data. They help everyone from technicians to owners to quickly see where they need to focus their efforts right now to manage workloads, both personal and company wide, for the current day and coming weeks.
Performance Analytics workbooks do more than target day to day operations. With workbooks you can follow business performance over time, identify trends or spikes and dips, and explore what was happening at those times. Then, you can apply what you learn to improve future performance.
What are Performance Analytics workbooks?
The five Performance Analytics workbook files use graphs and charts to make your Autotask data easy to read, analyze and compare. Each workbook brings together core metrics for one area of your business workflow. You can analyze the trends, successes, and challenge points for that workflow.
The workbook Explore tabs include multiple "slicer" filters. You can immediately narrow your data by one or more factors like date, resources, tickets or opportunities, to determine what contributed to long term trends or unusual events.
EXAMPLE For example, if you're consistently missing SLA first response goals, you can learn information like who was assigned to tickets where the first response target was missed, when the ticket was created and when the first response was due, and what issue types were involved. From this data, you might find that you need more or different resources to handle the workload, or more training in how to meet SLA responses or resolve certain issue types.
The workbooks are portable and easy to use. You need a computer that supports MS Excel for windows (Excel for Macs does not currently support the workbook functionality). To download current data from the workbook data cache, you need a network connection.

How do I get a workbook?
Performance Dashboard Workbooks are provisioned for your Autotask instance. They require limited access to Autotask's Workbooks Data Cache. This access is a contract based service.
